Why Choose Shibata’s Fine Bubble Technology
Three Compelling Reasons to Choose Shibata's Fine Bubble Technology.
-
Reason 01
Industry-Leading Reliability
As a full member of the Fine Bubble Industries Association (FBIA), we have brought over 15 years of UFB research and development together in our proprietary, patented SHIBATA ENGINE technology. Products incorporating it may use the registered trademark “ウルトラファインバブル” (Ultra Fine Bubble) free of charge, subject to application to FBIA. We offer both proven technology and the appeal of an established brand.
-
Reason 02
Exceptionally Easy to Integrate
No external power, no gas supply and no running costs. Our fine bubble generating nozzles range from as small as 7 mm in diameter to models equivalent to a 65A nominal pipe size. Simply connect one to a water line to generate ultrafine bubble water. By minimizing integration requirements, we make it easier to incorporate UFB technology into a wide range of sites and production lines.
-
Reason 03
Extensive Application Experience and Expertise
Our technology has been adopted by leading companies across industries, including Toshiba Lifestyle's ZABOON UFB washing machines, cleaning processes at Toyota Motor Corporation's manufacturing sites, Taisei's whole-office-building UFB systems, and assisted bathing tubs from OG Wellness. Shibata's strength lies in its broad application experience, from home appliances to large-scale facilities.

Fine Bubble Generating Nozzle
SHIBATA ENGINE
A compact fine bubble generating nozzle that instantly produces UFBs using tap water pressure alone. The range extends from standard models (8, 14, 25, 37 and 43 L/min) to high-flow models for sanitary piping (150 and 300 L/min). Suitable for both OEM/ODM integration and cleaning operations at manufacturing sites, it can also be considered for integration into large cleaning systems. Note: Flow rates are approximate values at a supply pressure of 0.3 MPa.
-
Pump with an Integrated Fine Bubble Generating Core
UFB Ultra Pump
A ready-to-use pump unit incorporating SHIBATA ENGINE. It allows high-concentration UFB water to be used for factory cleaning, agricultural watering and other applications without an in-line installation. Recirculation can further increase the UFB concentration, making it ideal for laboratory tests and performance evaluations before implementation.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What are ultrafine bubbles (UFBs)?
Ultrafine bubbles are extremely small bubbles with a diameter of less than 1 μm, as defined in ISO 20480-1 by the International Organization for Standardization. They are the smallest category of fine bubbles, the collective term for bubbles smaller than 100 μm. UFBs remain stable in water for weeks to months. Properties such as a negative surface charge, hydrophobicity (affinity for oil) and reduced surface tension have led to their growing use in cleaning, agriculture, healthcare and other fields. As a full member of the Fine Bubble Industries Association (FBIA), Shibata uses terminology based on ISO definitions.
“ファインバブル” (Fine Bubble), “ウルトラファインバブル” (Ultra Fine Bubble) and “FINE BUBBLE” are registered trademarks of the Fine Bubble Industries Association.
