For Manufacturers: Integrating UFB into Your Products

For Manufacturers — SHIBATA Inside

Add Ultrafine Bubble Technology to Your Products without Changing Their Existing Design.

“We want to add UFB technology while keeping design changes to a minimum.” Shibata's fine bubble generating core, SHIBATA ENGINE, can be as small as 7 mm in diameter × 8 mm in height.

Its proprietary patented cavitation technology generates UFBs simply by being integrated into piping, with no external gas supply or electrical power required.

We design the shape and mold to fit your existing product, enabling UFB functionality to be integrated into a wide range of products, from showerheads and assisted bathing equipment to commercial and industrial cleaning machines.

Why Choose Shibata for OEM Integration

Three Reasons Manufacturers Choose Shibata

  • Fully Customized to Your Product Specifications

We fully customize flow rate, pressure and materials—including ABS, POM, PP, fluoropolymers and SUS stainless steel—to suit your engineering drawings. Starting from designs as small as 7 mm in diameter × 8 mm in height, we use fluid-flow simulation to optimize the design and shorten development time, with flexible support from prototypes to mass-production models.

  • Outstanding Cost Advantages at Production Scale

Standard products start at a few thousand yen per unit, with mass production potentially bringing prices down to a few hundred yen per unit. While other manufacturers' equipment-based UFB generators are priced from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of yen, SHIBATA ENGINE can be introduced at 1/10 to 1/1000 of the cost. We can scale production flexibly while maintaining consistent quality.

  • Maintenance-Free Design with No External Power or Gas Supply

Conventional UFB generation methods required specialized external equipment. SHIBATA ENGINE uses proprietary patented cavitation technology to generate UFBs as water passes through the pipe once (single-pass generation). It operates on tap water pressure alone, and its essentially maintenance-free design has no moving parts, helping reduce the risk of end-user complaints.

Application Categories

From Showerheads to Assisted Bathing Tubs. UFB Integration Is Expanding across Industries.

In principle, SHIBATA ENGINE can be integrated into any category of product through which water flows. It supports water temperatures from 5°C to 60°C, as well as liquids other than water, such as diesel fuel and gasoline. “Can it be integrated into our product?” In most cases, the answer is yes.

Development Process

The Path to Product Integration

  1. Consultation & Requirements Definition

We review your product drawings, dimensions, flow rate and pressure requirements to determine the most suitable core specifications.

  2. Prototyping & Fluid-Flow Simulation

We use fluid-flow simulation to determine the optimum shape and design the mold, refining the specifications with you through shared CAD data.

  3. Sample Supply & Testing in Your Equipment

We supply samples for integration testing in your equipment. We measure bubble size and concentration using our in-house Shimadzu SALD-7500nano and SCHWALBEL BLASE instruments.

  4. Production Supply & Quality Control

Mold-based mass production ensures consistent quality, backed by a system for ongoing supply by production lot.
